The Safer Roads Partnership in West Mercia is part of West Mercia Police and works in partnership with nine partner agencies to reduce casualties and make the roads safer for all users in West Mercia through targeted communication, education and training together with enforcement.

New Community Concern speed enforcement site for Holyhead Road, Oakengates: The Safer Roads Partnership is launching a new mobile speed enforcement site week commencing 6 February on Holyhead Road, Oakengates in Telford, following concerns raised by local residents about the speeds of drivers along the 30mph road. Visit the News Page to read the full press release

Dates for West Mercia 'Bike Fest 2012' announced: The Safer Roads Partnership is pleased to announce it will be supporting Bike Fest 2012 - a series of events aimed at motorcyclists and moped riders in 2012. The dates have now been released:
15 April - Rider Skills Day - Redditch Fire Station
22 April - Worcester Bike Fest - County Hall Worcester
29 April - Rider Skills Day - Sutton St Nicholas Village Hall near Hereford
24 April - Shrewsbury Bike Fest - Meole Brace Park & Ride Shrewsbury

Community concern speed enforcement: If communities are concerned about speeding in their area then they should raise concerns in the first instance with their Parish Council, via their Local Policing Team or through the PACT (Partners and Communities Together) process. Parish Councillors can then make a formal request for speed enforcement to the Safer Roads Partnership in writing to PO Box 446, Worcester, WR2 4YR or via email at info@srpwestmercia.org.uk

Did you know......Speed Awareness Courses are now available in West Mercia.  If you receive a green notice you have the opportunity to take part in a course, please complete page 4 of your notice and return. See Question 1 in the FAQs for more information.
